Ayurveda is the indigenous medical system of Indian subcontintent. Ayurveda being officially recognized in India and Indian subcontinents is being widely practiced. Ayurveda Education in India is governed by Central Council of Indian Medicine, Minsitry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy). In India, there are Ayurveda Universities - Gujarat Ayurveda University, Banaras Hindu University, Rajasthan Ayurveda University, Uttarakhand Ayurveda University etc are hotspot of Ayurveda. All India Institute of Ayurveda has been estabished at New Delhi, India.
With vision of our Prime Minister Sri Narenda Modiji, Sri Shripad Yesso Naik, Minister for AYUSH has infused new energy into the AYUSH System. In this direction, National Ayurveda Day was celebrated on 28-Oct-2016 through out country. The Ministry of AYUSH observed National Ayurveda Day on the occasion of Dhanvantari Divas with theme of Ayurveda for Prevention and Control of Diabetes. The Ministry of AYUSH has launched “Mission Madhumeha through Ayurveda” on the occasion. The Mission Madhumeha has been implemented throughout the country through a specially designed National Treatment Protocol for effective management of Diabetes through Ayurveda.
With support of Govt of India, Ayurveda has gained new impetus in all sectors - Education, Practice and Research. This site has been rebuilt with view of giving up-to-date information. Your suggestions, feedback and contribution is crucial in development of site.
